Chicago Visits Beacon Children’s Hospital

Chicago stopped by Beacon Children’s Hospital in South Bend, IN on November 15th to visit with patients, families and staff. While there they also took photos and signed autographs – and most importantly delivered activity boxes to young patients.

The activity boxes where sponsored by Chicago through Characters of Character, a non-profit organization that builds the kits to provide comfort and distraction during what is often an overwhelming time. The boxes include items such as crayons, water colors, and an activity book – and what of course a confidence-building super hero mask! Chicago is enormously grateful to Beacon Children’s Hospital for their warm welcome and guided tour of their state-of-the-art facility. Beacon Children’s Hospital is the region’s only comprehensive children’s hospital, and treats children from 31 referring hospitals across 20 counties throughout Michigan and Indiana.
